Tragic Quetta Railway Station Blast: Death Toll Rises Amid Ongoing Investigation
A blast at Quetta Railway Station in Pakistan’s Balochistan province killed at least 20 people and injured more than 30 others on Saturday. At the time, a train was about to leave the platform for Peshawar.
Quetta’s senior police officer, Mohammad Baloch, said it might have been a suicide bombing, but more investigation is needed to confirm. He mentioned that around 100 people were at the station when the explosion happened.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed that police and security forces quickly reached the scene. The Bomb Disposal Squad is examining the site to understand the cause of the blast, and officials are waiting for a full report. Rind also warned that the death toll might rise since some injured people are in critical condition.
