Passengers in Nirmal, Telangana, protested on Tuesday demanding more buses due to overcrowded routes. They stopped a TGSRTC bus and urged the transport corporation to increase services to Ponkal village and nearby areas.

Commuters expressed frustration over buses regularly exceeding their capacity, causing discomfort. They staged a sit-in protest at Ponkal village to emphasize the urgent need for more frequent bus services.

Local residents pointed out that the current scarcity of buses leads to overcrowding on routes to Ponkal, Potharam, Ananthapet, and Kamlkot. This compels them to resort to costly private transport options such as auto-rickshaws and vans to access essential destinations like the Mandal Center and district headquarters.
