Karimnagar: Telangana Residential School Student Dies by Suicide

A 14-year-old girl, studying in Class X at Telangana Residential School (Girls) in Vangara, Bheemadevarapalli mandal, died by suicide on Friday. The student, identified as Vanam Srivarsha from Rangapur village in Huzurabad mandal, was found hanging in her dormitory.

According to school staff, Srivarsha did not attend the morning assembly, prompting other students to look for her. They found her hanging in the hostel room. She had reportedly died before the staff could reach her.

Sources said that Srivarsha had returned to the school on Thursday after the Diwali holidays. On Friday morning, she called her parents and asked them to take her home. Though her parents assured her they would come soon, she took the extreme step before they arrived.

Police have registered a case and shifted the body to the hospital for postmortem. An investigation is underway to find out the reasons behind her death.
