Fish Venkat Passes Away at 53 After Kidney Failure

Hyderabad: Popular Telugu actor Fish Venkat, born as Venkat Raj, passed away on Friday at the age of 53. The actor breathed his last at a private hospital in Hyderabad after battling severe kidney-related health issues.

Fish Venkat had been undergoing treatment for kidney failure, and his condition had worsened in recent days. His family admitted him to the hospital when his health deteriorated significantly. According to his daughter, doctors had recommended a kidney transplant, but the family could not afford the estimated Rs. 50 lakh required for the procedure.

In an emotional video statement, his daughter had earlier appealed for support, stating, “Daddy is not well and in a serious condition. He’s been kept in the ICU. He requires a kidney transplant.”

Fish Venkat began his film journey in the early 2000s with a brief role in the film Kushi. Known for his unique comic timing and distinct screen presence, he soon made a mark in Tollywood. He became a beloved figure in Telugu cinema with memorable roles in movies like Bunny, Adhurs, Dhee, and Mirapakay.

Fans and film industry colleagues have expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Fish Venkat, remembering him as a talented actor who brought laughter and energy to the screen.
