Massive Fire Erupts at Chips Manufacturing Godown in Hyderabad’s Jagadgirigutta

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at a potato chips manufacturing godown in Papireddy Nagar, Jagadgirigutta, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, early Wednesday morning. The facility belongs to Surya Enterprises.

While no casualties were reported, the fire caused significant property damage. The blaze triggered panic among local residents as thick smoke spread across the area, fueled by the presence of plastic, fiber, and other flammable materials stored in the godown.

Upon receiving an alert, fire department teams rushed to the site along with local police. Two fire tenders were deployed, and the flames were brought under control after a rigorous firefighting effort.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, though authorities suspect it may have been triggered by a short circuit. Jagadgirigutta police are continuing their inquiry into the incident.
