Peddapalli: Degree Student Dies After Snake Bite

Peddapalli district witnessed a tragic incident when an 18-year-old degree student died after being bitten by a snake at her home in Roopnarayanpet village of Odela mandal.

The victim, Gurram Akshitha, was a second-year degree student at Jyothiba Phule Residential School, Sultanabad. She had come home to celebrate the Diwali festival with her family.

On Friday, while sitting on a chair and doing her homework, Akshitha was bitten by a snake. At that time, her parents were out working in the fields. Hearing her cries, neighbors rushed to help and informed her parents.

Akshitha was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but she died on the way. The incident has left the village in deep sorrow.
