Hyderabad Govt School Incident: Class 7 Student Allegedly Beaten on Headmaster’s Orders

A Class 7 student was allegedly beaten by senior students at a government school in Telangana, leading to a police investigation. The incident took place at Kompally Government School in Medchal district.

The victim, Surya, was reportedly assaulted by Class 10 students. The school’s headmaster, Krishna, is accused of asking the seniors to attack the boy. Krishna is also serving as the in-charge Mandal Education Officer (MEO) of Dundigal.

According to the complaint, the headmaster claimed the student was not following his instructions. Instead of taking proper disciplinary action, he allegedly encouraged senior students to beat the minor.

Surya’s father, Shiva Ramakrishna, filed a complaint at the Pet Basheerabad Police Station and demanded strict action against those involved. Police said they have started an investigation to find out what exactly happened and to check the role of the school authorities.

Officials said further action will be taken after the inquiry is completed.

This incident comes just days after another case of violence at a state-run residential school, where a Class 10 student was allegedly attacked by senior intermediate students. In that case, six students were suspended.

School officials said the earlier incident was not treated as ragging and claimed it happened due to “ego issues” among students. They also said two classmates of the victim were beaten when they tried to stop the attack.
