Chiranjeevi Deepfake Case: Hyderabad Police Launch Serious Investigation
Hyderabad, Oct 31: Megastar Chiranjeevi has reacted strongly to the spread of fake videos made using his image on social media.
Chiranjeevi said that Telangana DGP, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, and Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar are taking the matter very seriously and personally monitoring the investigation.
He expressed full confidence in the Telangana Police, saying that strict action will be taken against those who created and shared the fake and obscene videos.
The issue came to light after morphed videos of Chiranjeevi surfaced on a website and on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

After Chiranjeevi’s complaint, the police identified the source of the videos as an account named “DayaChowdary” on X. The account has now been blocked, and all objectionable videos have been removed.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the videos were uploaded from foreign IP addresses. Authorities warned that anyone involved in making or spreading such fake content will face strict legal action.
Police continue to collect digital evidence to trace those responsible for creating and circulating the deepfake videos.
