Community Action Saves Child in Choutuppal; Two Arrested for Alleged Rape
Yadadri Bhongir, Telangana — A four-year-old girl is fighting for her life after allegedly being raped by two youths in Choutuppal town on Friday. The horrific incident was brought to a halt by the swift, heroic action of local residents who heard the child’s screams and rushed to her rescue.
The two accused, reportedly natives of Madhya Pradesh, allegedly lured the young victim to a secluded spot by offering her chocolates before subjecting her to the traumatic act. Their identities have not yet been officially disclosed by the authorities. Police sources indicate the suspects may have been under the influence of alcohol or ganja at the time of the crime.
Residents’ Quick Response
The distressing cries of the girl alerted residents from nearby houses, who immediately mobilized to help. Demonstrating remarkable courage, they broke open the gates and doors of the premises where the assault was occurring and successfully rescued the child from the alleged perpetrators.
Following the rescue, the girl was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where her condition is currently reported as critical.

Suspects Apprehended
Enraged villagers quickly apprehended the two suspects at the scene of the crime and handed them over to the Choutuppal police.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The investigation is currently underway to gather further details and ensure justice. The community remains in shock over the brutal incident, but there is widespread praise for the residents whose intervention prevented further harm and led to the arrests.
