Aditya Mangla Appointed as CEO of Zomato’s Food Delivery Business
Zomato, now known as Eternal, has appointed Aditya Mangla as the new CEO of its food ordering and delivery business. His appointment was approved by the company’s board on July 6, 2025, and he will serve in this role for the next two years.
Mangla is taking over from Rakesh Ranjan, who completed his two-year term as CEO. Ranjan will officially step down from his senior management role starting July 6, 2025. His exit was first reported in April.
In an email to employees, Zomato’s co-founder Deepinder Goyal said this change marks a new chapter for the company. He emphasized the importance of thoughtful and understanding leadership.
“Leadership isn’t just about knowing what to do—it’s about being able to see things that others might miss,” Goyal wrote. “We need leaders who listen not just to reply, but to truly understand.”
