Hyderabad: Four Arrested for Killing Man Over Rs 11 Lakh Dispute in Jagathgirigutta

Hyderabad: Four men were arrested for allegedly killing a man in broad daylight in Jagathgirigutta on Tuesday, following a dispute over Rs. 11 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Syed Fazil, Syed Jahangir, Shaik Kareem, and Shaik Ameer. Police said the main accused, Fazil, along with the others, stabbed 40-year-old Mohd Mahboob to death.

According to Balanagar ACP P Naresh Reddy, Fazil and Mahboob were involved in the scrap business and illegal trade of PDS (Public Distribution System) rice. Mahboob reportedly owed Fazil Rs. 11 lakh. Whenever Fazil asked for the money, Mahboob allegedly threatened him. Upset over this, Fazil planned the murder with his three associates.

On Tuesday, they attacked Mahboob and stabbed him multiple times, leading to his death.

Mahboob, originally from Gulbarga in Karnataka, was a known rowdy-sheeter under Musheerabad police station and had 13 criminal cases against him, including one for murder.

Police formed four teams and quickly tracked down and arrested all four suspects. Further investigation is ongoing.
