Bengaluru Woman’s Murder: Shocking Details Emerge in Mahalakshmi’s Tragic Death
Bengaluru Woman’s Murder: The man suspected of brutally murdering a woman in Bengaluru was found dead in Odisha on Wednesday. Muktiranjan Pratap Ray, 31, was allegedly involved in the gruesome killing of Mahalakshmi, whose dismembered body was discovered in a refrigerator in her Bengaluru apartment.
A 29-year-old woman named Mahalakshmi from Bengaluru was killed by her partner, Mukti Ranjan Ray, after frequent arguments over marriage. Mukti, 31, later took his own life by hanging from a tree in Odisha. Before his death, he left a suicide note confessing to the crime.
Mahalakshmi and Mukti had been in a relationship for some time, working together in a garment shop. Mukti wanted to marry her, but Mahalakshmi refused, saying she wasn’t ready for another relationship. On September 2, during one of their visits, they had a heated argument. Mahalakshmi allegedly attacked Mukti, biting and hitting him. In response, Mukti hit her back, killing her. He then dismembered her body and stored it in a refrigerator in her apartment.
Mahalakshmi had been living alone after separating from her estranged husband, Hemanth, earlier this year. She had also been involved in another relationship with a man named Ashraf, but they had split a year ago. Hemanth had previously accused Mahalakshmi of domestic violence in February.
After Mahalakshmi’s murder, Mukti confessed to his younger brother that he had killed her and wanted to escape. The police traced his location to a village in Odisha, where they found him dead. Investigations are ongoing to determine if his family helped him flee.
